ILIFE V2 vs Yeedi C14 Pro Plus: Budget Robot Vacuums

Updated · Price Drop Radar

Bottom line

For most homes, the Yeedi C14 Pro Plus is worth the extra money. In Vacuum Wars' tests it picked up 94% of pet hair from carpet, and it maps your home and empties itself into a bagless dock. The ILIFE V2 picked up 11% and was the lowest-scoring robot in Vacuum Wars' dataset overall. It only fits a small, uncluttered home with mostly hard floors, a strict budget and no wish for an app. Neither mops well or avoids clutter.

What to look for

A brush roll if you have carpet

Why it matters: Carpet needs agitation to loosen dirt and hair; suction alone can't do it.

How to check: Look under the robot for a main brush, not just side brushes.

Watch out: The ILIFE V2 has no brush roll. Vacuum Wars says that keeps hair from tangling but cost it badly on carpet.

Navigation

Why it matters: Mapping robots clean in rows and know what they've covered; random ones bounce around and miss spots.

How to check: Look for LiDAR or camera mapping and room selection in the app.

Watch out: Random navigation got the ILIFE V2 about 632 sq ft per charge in testing, about half the 1,170 sq ft average.

The dock

Why it matters: A self-emptying dock means you empty a big bin every few weeks instead of a small one after every run.

How to check: Check whether it uses bags (an ongoing cost) or a bagless bin.

Watch out: The Yeedi's dock is bagless but only empties dust. It doesn't wash the mop or refill water.

Obstacle avoidance

Why it matters: Robots without it push or swallow cords, socks and small toys.

How to check: Look for a tested avoidance score, not just a feature line.

Watch out: Neither robot has a dedicated system, so pick up the floor before each run.

Traps and timing

  • Suction ratings aren't comparable across brands. The 1,500 Pa ILIFE V2 measured above-average suction in Vacuum Wars' bench test, and the 11,000 Pa Yeedi measured almost twice the average. Go by pickup results.
  • Yeedi's own lineup chart ticks hot-water mop washing and drying for the C14 Pro Plus, along with every other model. Its listed specs and Vacuum Wars' tested unit say the dock only empties dust. Check the listing's photos before buying for mop care.
  • Vacuum Wars names the Yeedi its best robot under $300 only when it's on sale below $300. On 2026-10-13 it showed $329.99 against a $399.99 list price.
  • In vacuum-and-mop mode the Yeedi avoids carpet because its pad doesn't lift, so carpets only get vacuumed when you run it in vacuum mode.

Before you check out

  • Count your carpeted rooms and pets.
  • Decide whether you want an app and a map, or just a remote.
  • Measure the clearance under your lowest furniture.
  • Don't buy either one mainly to mop.
  • Compare the live Amazon prices; the Yeedi has been listed at $399.99 and sold for less.

How we put this together

We don't test robot vacuums in a lab. We compared the makers' published specs, the Amazon listings and independent reviews, all listed under Sources, and where they disagree we say so. Prices come from Amazon and are refreshed by our system throughout the day.

Price Drop Radar earns a commission on qualifying Amazon purchases made through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. That never decides which product we recommend.

Quick answers

Is the ILIFE V2 good for carpet?

No. It has no brush roll, and in Vacuum Wars' tests it removed 47% of embedded sand from carpet (78% average) and 11.2% of pet hair (82% average).

Does the Yeedi C14 Pro Plus need dust bags?

No. Its dock is bagless with a 1.5 L bin, which Yeedi says holds up to 45 days of debris. You empty and clean the bin yourself.

Can the ILIFE V2 be controlled from a phone?

No. It has no Wi-Fi or app. A physical remote starts it, sets a schedule and picks auto, spot, edge or manual mode.

Does the Yeedi C14 Pro Plus wash its mop?

Not according to its listed specs and Vacuum Wars' testing: the dock empties dust only, and you refill the water and wash the pad by hand. Yeedi's lineup chart says otherwise, so check the listing.
